Welcome to our school website. We are very pleased to have you visit and hope you find the information here useful as you learn more about our school and the supportive environment we work hard to provide for our pupils.
As Principal, I feel privileged to lead the school at this time, building on the strong foundations already in place while also looking ahead to its continued growth and development. I am fortunate to work alongside a dedicated and highly professional staff whose commitment and care are central to the positive spirit of our school.
As a Catholic school, Scoil Naomh Mhuire is committed to offering a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere where every child’s development is supported in all its dimensions—intellectual, spiritual, physical, moral, social, and cultural. We strive to maintain a safe, respectful, and encouraging environment in which Christian values such as truth, justice, respect, and compassion are actively lived out by both staff and pupils. In doing so, we hope that everyone feels a strong sense of belonging within our school community.
We also recognise the importance of strong partnerships between parents and guardians, the Board of Management, staff, external agencies, and the wider community in supporting children’s education. Your engagement and encouragement make a real difference to your child’s experience and progress.
Our staff are committed to delivering a high standard of education that responds to the varied needs of all learners. We aim to foster curiosity, creativity, and confidence in a safe and inclusive setting. We place great value on building positive relationships with pupils and their families and on ensuring that every child feels valued and enjoys their time here. We believe education is a lifelong journey, and the experiences children have with us will help them to develop their abilities and grow into thoughtful, responsible members of society.
As you browse our website, you will find details about our curriculum, extracurricular activities, policies, and community involvement. We encourage you to stay connected with your child’s learning and the life of our school.
Thank you for your continued support and for being part of our school community. Together, we can help our pupils reach their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally.
Le gach dea mhéin,
David O’Mahoney
