The Senior class completed their final Care Aware Crew programme lesson focused on looking after our immune system. We would like to thank all at the Health Sciences Academy at UL for designing this brilliant programme. We have learnt so much over the past 10 weeks from this programme about First Aid and looking after our body. We're so grateful for this experience.

Lesson 5 of The Care Aware Crew Programme!

The senior class honed their life-saving skills this week, learning about first aid kits as part of the Care Aware programme. They are now better equipped to handle emergencies and keep our community safe!

Lesson 4 of The Care Aware Crew Programme!

The senior class were learning about wound care in lesson 4 of their Care Aware Programme. They've been learning about proper cleaning, dressing and recognising signs of infection. This valuable information empowers them to be responsible and caring individuals within our school community and beyond.

Lesson 3 of The Care Aware Crew Programme!

Lesson 3 of the Care Aware Programme focused on the important topic of head injuries. Students learned about the different types of head injuries, how to recognise the signs and symptoms, and the appropriate first aid steps to take. Through engaging activities and discussions, the children explored scenarios involving head injuries and practiced how to respond safely and responsibly. These photos capture their active participation in the lesson, demonstrating their growing understanding of how to protect themselves and others from potential harm.

The Care Aware Crew Programme

Our Senior Class is excited to begin the "Care Aware Crew Programme," a unique initiative co-designed by pupils, teachers, and healthcare professionals. This programme aims to promote health awareness, develop leadership skills, and provide students with an introduction to careers in healthcare. Throughout the programme, students will engage in hands-on activities and learn valuable information about health and wellbeing, while also exploring the diverse range of careers within the healthcare sector.
