The Finished Product!

The senior class have proudly completed their Heritage Keepers project booklet, showcasing their in-depth research on local history from the medieval period to the early 20th century. From ringforts and castles to the historical layout of Glin, the pupils have captured their learning and discoveries in a beautiful compiled booklet, a testament to their hard work. A huge congratulations to Ms. Farrelly and the Senior Class on their fantastic Heritage Keepers booklet, preserving and celebrating our local heritage. Here is a sample of their creations!!

Heritage Keepers Booklets!

Our Senior Class students have been diligently working on their Heritage Keepers booklets, capturing the highlights and insights from their recent historical trip! They've been reflecting on their visits to the ancient ringfort, the imposing Shanid Castle, and the majestic Glin Castle, transforming their experiences into beautifully crafted booklets. We're incredibly proud of their thoughtful work and the way they've brought local history to life. We can't wait to see the final, completed booklets and the unique perspectives they reveal!

Heritage Keepers Programme

As part of our Heritage Keepers Programme, the senior room had a fantastic Heritage in Action day today! Jimmy Duggan from Heritage in Schools guided us through the history of the 20th century before we set off to explore some incredible local sites.

We visited a ringfort, Shanid Castle, and Glin Castle, learning all about their fascinating pasts. A huge thank you to Jimmy Duggan, Kathleen Campbell, and the owner of Shanid Castle for their time, knowledge, and support in making this such an enjoyable and educational experience.

A brilliant day was had by all!
