Bí Cineálta-Procedures to Prevent and Address Bullying Behaviour for Primary and Post Primary Schools
We are pleased to announce the introduction of the new Bí Cinéalta procedures, designed to prevent and address bullying behaviour across both primary and post-primary schools. These updated procedures, which will come into effect from the next school year 2025/2026, emphasise creating a positive and supportive environment where all students feel safe and valued. With a focus on promoting kindness, respect, and inclusion, the Bí Cinéalta initiative encourages proactive approaches to prevent bullying and provides clear, effective steps to address any incidents that may arise.
We are committed to ongoing improvement and are currently reviewing and updating our anti-bullying procedures. In the coming weeks, we will be engaging in a collaborative process with students, staff, and parents to gather input and develop comprehensive policies that effectively address bullying and promote a positive school climate. We are pleased to announce that the Board of Management has officially ratified the implementation of the revised national anti-bullying Policy, "Bí Cineálta" (Be Kind), which will take effect from September 2025. This updated policy reflects our ongoing commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all members of our school community.
"Bí Cineálta" emphasises proactive measures, education, and support to prevent bullying and address any incidents effectively and compassionately. We believe that by promoting kindness, empathy, and understanding, we can empower our pupils to be positive contributors and create a school culture where everyone feels valued and secure.
